Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a large, modern, business-engaged university in the heart of the vibrant, cosmopolitan port city of Liverpool, England. Renowned for its great history and culture, Liverpool was named the European Capital of Culture in 2008.


The Faculty of Business and Law at LJMU incorporates the Liverpool Business School (LBS) and the School of Law. Both offer professionally focused courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.


LBS doctoral and postgraduate courses include:  Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA); MBA in Business Management; MBA in Executive Leadership; MA Human Resource Management; MA Marketing. Other Master’s courses reflect specialized areas of LBS research/consultancy: International Banking and Finance; Operations; Public Administration; Information and Library Management.  LBS also provides training/consultancy to Government bodies and blue chip organizations such as Rolls Royce. LBS adopts a practical approach to teaching and research, enhancing the employment prospects of its graduates and the success of its clients.

The School of Law courses include the LLB Legal Practice and the Graduate Diploma in Law.  Lecturers and students have won numerous awards in national and international competitions. Lecturers advise the British Government on criminal justice and consult on witness protection procedures.
