Studying in New Zealand – Planning Your Accommodation

0

One of the most important things to organize for your studies in New Zealand is your accommodation.  There are a ton of options, so you’ll need to decide what works best for you and your budget.  There are pros and cons to the different options, so take some time and do some research before you go.

Some universities offer residence options. These are great if you want to be on, or very close to the university campus. Minimal commuting time gives you more time for your studies, and to immerse yourself in university activities.

Homestay is also an option for international students.  You’ll likely be further out of town, but you’ll have a local family to help you find your way around and it’s a great opportunity to really immerse yourself in the culture.

For a more independent lifestyle, how about sharing an apartment (‘flat’)?

For more information on these options, and to give you an idea of costs – read the full article on the Study in New Zealand website here.
